The Subnational Risk Index, in its 2024 edition, identified that the country's political center maintains a low-risk level, while the departments furthest from this center have moderate risk levels.
For 2024, the least risky departments are: Bogotá, Risaralda, and Cundinamarca. Meanwhile, the riskiest departments are: Putumayo, Vichada, and Chocó.
