SUBNATIONAL RISK INDEX

The subnational risk index is a product designed by Colombia Risk Analysis that seeks to categorize the different departments of the country according to six different categories: security, politics, economy, institutions, society and environment. With these categories, we evaluate the level of risk they pose to companies.

The subnational risk index, in its 2024 edition, identified that the political center of the country maintains a low level of risk, while the departments farther away from this center have moderate risk levels. 

For 2024, the least risky departments are: Bogota, Risaralda and Cundinamarca.
While the most risky departments are: Putumayo, Vichada and Chocó.
