The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a global labor emergency of unprecedented proportions. In Colombia, the consequences in terms of labor policy are likely to be significant, since it forces us to rethink not only the foundation of worker-employer relations but also bring forth a series of situations that are likely to reshape our economic model and approach to social issues. Once the health emergency is over, there is likely to be pressure on the government to pass labor reform. However, to be able to do so, the government must satisfy the interests of political opponents and workers representatives.
